Storm Lose By a Run at Rancho Cucamonga
Rancho Cucamonga turned a good performance from starting pitcher Jonathan Craft into a 2-1 triumph over the Lake Elsinore Storm at LoanMart Field. Walt West earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 5-9. Earning his 18th save of the year was Ken Smith.

Rancho Cucamonga took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Tim Smith hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Quakes.

"Bottom line," said Lake Elsinore skipper Chris Greene, "we didn't play well enough to win."

With the win, Rancho Cucamonga upped its record to 68-68.
