The Bakersfield Blaze were defeated, 4-1, by the Inland Empire 66ers at San Manuel Stadium, even though Raúl García pitched well for Bakersfield. Inland Empire reliever Pat Lovell picked up the win. Raúl García took the loss for Bakersfield. The win hiked the Inland Empire record to 70-64.

Inland Empire third baseman Freddie Elliott contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 108th hit of the season and put the 66ers ahead, 2-0.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Inland Empire manager Kent Matthes. "Our pregame was pretty good."
