The Inland Empire 66ers beat the Lancaster JetHawks, 6-5, with major props going to designated hitter William Watts. On the day, Watts went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the 66ers. José Quintero, now 3-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 4 runs on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. Picking up the save was Mike Wolf, his 26th.

Watts had a game-changing double in the top of the sixth. On a 0-2 sinker from Phil Perkins, he banged a 2-run double to center, giving the 66ers a 2-1 lead. It was the 12th double of the year for Watts.

"See ball, hit ball. When I think too much, that's when I get in trouble," Watts told the Inland Empire Chronicle.

The win lifted the Inland Empire record to 69-64.
