Rancho Cucamonga and Bakersfield duked it out and the Quakes came out victorious.
Randy Gordon pitched well, but the Bakersfield Blaze still lost the game, falling, 3-1, to the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes at Historic Sam Lynn Ballpark. Ken Smith closed the door for Rancho Cucamonga, picking up his 16th save of the year.
Eric Mobley had a direct impact on the outcome. Mobley contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Rancho Cucamonga up, 3-0.
Mobley called the win "a team effort."
At 66-65, the Quakes find themselves in third place in the South Division.
