Rangers Deal Cubs 13-10 Loss
The Chicago N (AZL) Cubs got a sterling performance from catcher Rob Wade, but the Texas (AZL) Rangers still prevailed, 13-10. Wade belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Texas (AZL) reliever Chris Martin picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Virgil Curtis was saddled with the loss. The victory makes Texas (AZL) 6-2.

Texas (AZL) used the timely hitting of Peter Lock to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Rangers on top, 11-10. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Ron Robinson said.
