Hit Parade: Poole Pops 5 Hits
Cincinnati (AZL) shortstop Randy Poole had a big day at Tempe Diablo Stadium today against the Los Angeles A (AZL) Angels. The 18-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-6 and led the Reds to a 17-7 triumph over Los Angeles A (AZL).

"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Poole said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."

Randy Poole hit a solo-shot off Eric McIntyre in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, struck out in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.

Currently Poole is hitting .500 and has collected 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 11 times, while playing in 8 games.
