Erie Sends Reading Packing with 7-1 Loss
The Erie SeaWolves rode a solid performance from 23-year-old starting pitcher Sam McClure to a win, beating the Reading Fightin Phils, 7-1, at Jerry Uht Park. Erie is clipping along at 14-7.

Alfredo Martínez had a big 2-run double for the SeaWolves in the bottom of the third inning. With Erie leading 2-1 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from Alan Jenkins and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 3rd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the SeaWolves ahead, 4-1.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Martínez.
