The exploits of third baseman Gilbert Lara helped the Altoona Curve defeat the Bowie Baysox, 5-1. Lara was 2-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The Baysox fall to 9-11 and continue their rocky start to the 2026 season.

In the first inning, Lara had a 3-run home run for Altoona. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Curve on top, 3-0.
