Sánchez Strokes 5 Hits
No matter what the Seattle (AZL) Mariners threw at him today, Pete Sánchez hit it. He easily handled Mariners pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the White Sox to a 6-1 triumph at Camelback Ranch.

"The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.

Told of Sánchez's quip, Mariners skipper Tom Slater said he "would take him up on that next time."

Pete Sánchez tripled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Alfredo Lópes in the 8th.
