Fans got some free baseball at MCU Park.

The Connecticut Tigers took José Guillén's best shot and still were able to collect a win at MCU Park. The final score had Connecticut getting past the Cyclones, 6-3, in 10 innings. Guillén over 8 innings allowed 1 run on 5 hits, while striking out 9. Filip Pauw, now 3-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. Marlon Gibbs was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 3 save opportunities.

Connecticut took a 4-3 lead on Héctor Orozco's 14th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Orozco hit in the top of the tenth, left Brooklyn pitcher Rodrigo Pérez visibly frustrated.

Orozco attributed the win to his team's "tenacity."

With the win, Connecticut pushed its record to 48-24.
