Thrilling Victory Pushes Tigers Win Streak to 5
The Connecticut Tigers grabbed a win, 7-4, over the Tri-City ValleyCats at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium. Connecticut right fielder José Ramírez went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 runs. Juan Barrera snagged the win in relief. He goes to 6-1 on the season. Albert Vega suffered the loss. Filip Pauw closed the game out for Connecticut, earning his 15th save.

Connecticut used the timely hitting of Dave West to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Tigers on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"I like our moxie," said Tigers manager Bo Porter.

The Stedler Division-leading Tigers are 43-20.
