Gibson Helps Tigers Beat Ironbirds, 7-5
The Connecticut Tigers stopped the Aberdeen Ironbirds, 7-5, behind an impressive performance from Chris Gibson. The 19-year old center fielder made life miserable for Aberdeen pitching. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The Tigers sport a record of 41-20.

Early in the game, Gibson had a 3-run home run for Connecticut. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Tigers on top, 3-0.

"Keep grinding," said Gibson, "and good things are bound to happen."
