The 5-RBI night of right fielder Dany Rojas, who is tied for 3rd in the EL in bases on balls with 12, helped the Trenton Thunder triumph, 12-1, over the Portland Sea Dogs. Eric McClain went 8.1 innings for Trenton to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 1 run. He scattered 8 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 3. His record improves to 2-0. The Sea Dogs fall to 9-11 and continue to sputter in the early going.

José Ríos, who is tied for 6th in the EL in stolen bases with 6, had a timely hit in the top of the fifth inning. With no one out and the bases loaded, the Trenton center fielder hit a 2-run single. That put the Thunder in front, 3-1.
