Reds Topple Astros, 11-7, as Beggar Shines
The timely hitting of Dan Beggar helped the Cincinnati Reds down the Houston Astros, 11-7. Beggar went 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Reds. Dave Brower got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3.1 innings. Cincinnati now sits at 15-24, while Houston falls to 15-22.

Early in the game, Beggar had a grand slam home run for Cincinnati. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Reds on top, 6-2.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Beggar told the Cincinnati Observer.
