Raúl Báez helped his team muscle past the Tri-City ValleyCats, 7-6. In the game, the Vermont right fielder was 2 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The 'W' lifts Vermont's record to 17-20.

In the bottom of the ninth, Joe Britten knew he could end it with one good swing of the bat. And he did, hitting a solo home run off Tri-City pitcher Danny Johnson.

"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Britten said.
