Tigers Take Down Crosscutters, 6-3
The Connecticut Tigers picked up a win at Bowman Field, downing the Williamsport Crosscutters, 6-3, in 11 innings. On the mound for Connecticut was left-hander Arsenio Pelayo, who played a pivotal role in the win. Filip Pauw snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Joe Oglethorpe suffered the loss. With the win, Connecticut pushed its record to 23-8.

Connecticut took advantage of an error in the top of the 11th inning. The game was tied, 3-3, when Dave West hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Tigers in front, 4-3.

In postgame comments, West said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
