Williamsport and Connecticut duked it out and the Crosscutters came out victorious.

The Williamsport Crosscutters weathered an outstanding game by Connecticut first baseman Juan Martínez to topple the Tigers, 5-4. Martínez went 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. Williamsport is now 13-16. Connecticut is 21-8.

The Crosscutters got a big at-bat from first baseman Beau Crowder. For the game, Crowder was 1-3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave Williamsport a 3-1 lead.

Williamsport manager praised his team's "energy."
