The Auburn Doubledays and Connecticut Tigers riveted fans at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium.

The Connecticut Tigers used the hitting of second baseman Jorge Tovar to subdue the Auburn Doubledays, 5-4, in 10 innings. For the game, Tovar was 2-2 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The first-place Tigers have won 12 in a row.

Connecticut got a clutch hit from Dave West. The first baseman launched a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.

"Walking a team off at the end -- there's no greater feeling," said Tovar.
