Connecticut Tigers starter Augusto Pérez was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Auburn Doubledays, 3-1. After today's action, Connecticut sits at 19-7; Auburn slips to 14-12.

Connecticut right fielder Steve Owens helped the Tigers go up, 2-1, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Owens hit a run-scoring single off Auburn pitcher Jim Rascop.

"No disrespect to the other team," said Connecticut manager Bo Porter. "But it's nice to get an easy win."
