Intimidators Get Past Greensboro for 7-6 Win
The Kannapolis Intimidators downed the Greensboro Grasshoppers, 7-6. The hitting star was designated hitter Mike Evans. Evans was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs for the Intimidators. The winner in relief was Joe Cook. He is now 4-4. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 4.2 innings. The 6th-place Grasshoppers dropped to 65-73.

Lou Wilson was the walk-off hero for Kannapolis. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Intimidators second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Wilson.
