In a tight tilt between the Delmarva Shorebirds and the Greensboro Grasshoppers, Freddy Durán was the deciding factor. The Delmarva right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Robinson García was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 31 of 34 save opportunities. By defeating Greensboro, the 5th-place Shorebirds improved to 61-64.

Reginald Ross helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-1, Shorebirds.

"I made good pitches, kept the ball out of the middle of the plate for the most part," said Durán.
