The Augusta GreenJackets could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Dave Allen into a win. Instead, the Greenville Drive prevailed, 4-1. Allen threw 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball. Augusto García recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 7 for 8. The win gives the Drive a record of 39-80.

Greenville went up, 2-1, on Tim Lamm's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run, which Lamm hit in the top of the seventh, left Augusta pitcher Tony Mateo shaking his head.
