The Grasshoppers got a big at-bat from left fielder Steve Hawkins. For the game, Hawkins was 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season gave Greensboro a 2-1 lead.
