Intimidators Rally to Eke Out Win
The Intimidators earned a hard-fought, 2-1 win in 11 innings at CMC-NorthEast Stadium. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Savannah pitcher Monte Craig. Craig went 9 innings and allowed 1 run. Kannapolis reliever Steve Murdoch picked up the win, raising his record to 1-5. Pat Hill was tagged with the loss. At 57-51, Kannapolis is in third place in the Northern Division.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 11th for Kannapolis. That's when Sammy Simmons hit a solo home run off fireballing left-hander Pat Hill to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Savannah skipper Tyler Colvin.
