The Delmarva Shorebirds got a rain-soaked win over the Lakewood BlueClaws.

The Delmarva Shorebirds stymied the Lakewood BlueClaws, 5-2, at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium. Jon Ramos had a good day at the plate. He threw 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball for Delmarva. The setback makes Lakewood 61-43.

Kip Larsen had a big solo home run for the Shorebirds in the bottom of the third inning. With Delmarva leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from Kevin Rodgers, who is tied for 3rd in the SAL with a 9.8 K/9 rate, and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Shorebirds on top, 2-0.

"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Ramos.
