Legends Need Extra Frames to Get Past GreenJackets
Despite a great performance by Augusta third baseman Jeremy Bennett, the Lexington Legends defeated the GreenJackets by the score of 6-5 at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. Bennett went 4-5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Jack Masson, credited with the win in relief, is now 2-4. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. Lexington now sits at 45-51, while Augusta falls to 44-52.

The decisive blow was delivered by Thom Tracy in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a solo home run off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Ken Armenio to win the game for Lexington. The home crowd went nuts.

"We ground out the win," said Tracy. "That's all that matters."
