The Kannapolis Intimidators topped the West Virginia Power, 2-0, in South Atlantic League action at CMC-NorthEast Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Kannapolis pitcher and Chicago, Illinois, native Eric Banks. With the win, the Intimidators sit at 51-45.

Ben Dotson had a big solo home run for the Intimidators in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Kannapolis leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he got a circle change from Xavier Thompson and swatted a home run to right. It was his 5th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Intimidators ahead, 2-0.

In postgame remarks, Banks said: "To all who've been doubting my effort -- I hope they saw this game."
