Tourists Win, 8-4, Versus Savannah
The Asheville Tourists topped the Savannah Sand Gnats, 8-4, in South Atlantic League action at Grayson Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Asheville designated hitter Juan Reyes. Pete Joseph picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 5-1. Clarence Bennett suffered the loss. With the win over Savannah, the Tourists improved to 46-49.

In the top of the eighth, Reyes put his team in front with his 5th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came against Clarence Bennett, made it 8-4, Asheville.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Reyes.
