The Lexington Legends bombarded the Asheville Tourists, 14-3, at McCormick Field. Leading the blitz was Jeff Thomas. He went 4 for 6 with 4 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Lexington. Lexington used the timely hitting of Salomão Saraiva to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Legends on top, 6-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
