Intimidators Fight for 9-8 Win
The Kannapolis Intimidators electrified the home crowd with a walk-off win.

Intimidators designated hitter Luis Yan left his imprint on his team's 9-8 win over the Rome Firebirds. Yan was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 3 times for Kannapolis in the contest. Kannapolis now sits at 49-43, while Rome falls to 55-37.

The Intimidators were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 22-year old center fielder Tony Davis landed a big blow. He turned a 0-1 fastball from Lou Riley into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the CMC-NorthEast Stadium denizens into a frenzy and sent the Intimidators home with a thrilling 9-8 win.

"We couldn't have scripted it any better," Yan said in his postgame press conference.
