Sand Gnats Topple Crawdads with Late Rally
Savannah starter José Agodo pitched well against the Hickory Crawdads at L.P. Frans Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 9-8. With the win, the Sand Gnats have a record of 48-38.

Savannah needed the clutch hitting of Pete Crawford to seal the deal. The designated hitter swatted a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Sand Gnats on top, 9-8. For the game, Crawford had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Agodo. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
