The Trenton Thunder pushed past the Portland Sea Dogs, 13-8, in 10 innings at Hadlock Field. Luis Torrens was 2-2 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once, to lead the charge. Trenton reliever Mac Ward picked up the win, raising his record to 3-3. Dave Lavington was tagged with the loss. With their winning streak at 7, the Thunder have raced to a strong start this season.

Trenton used the timely hitting of Jesús Ríos to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Thunder on top, 8-6. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Thunder manager Cody Decker.
