The Delmarva Shorebirds defeated the Greensboro Grasshoppers, 8-5. Catcher Jon Ramos deserved a large share of the credit. Ramos was 1-2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Shorebirds. Robinson García earned the save, his 23rd in 25 tries. The setback makes Greensboro 48-28.

Delmarva took the lead, 8-5, on Reginald Ross's 9th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Greensboro pitcher Pancho Jaca in the top of the ninth.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Ramos.
