The Greensboro Grasshoppers stopped the West Virginia Power, 7-6, behind an impressive performance from José Baca. The 22-year old right fielder made life miserable for West Virginia pitching. He was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. The Greensboro win streak is now 3 games.
Juan Camacho drove in one run for Greensboro. The 21-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 3rd, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Ken Roy. It was his 25th RBI of the season.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said West Virginia manager German Melendez. "The effort was great."
