Grasshoppers Deal Hagerstown 4-1 Defeat

Despite the rain, the fans at NewBridge Bank Park enjoyed a good ballgame.
The Greensboro Grasshoppers grabbed a win, 4-1, over the Hagerstown Suns at NewBridge Bank Park. Greensboro catcher Artie Williams was 1 for 2 with a double and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Greensboro reliever Brit Connolly picked up the win, raising his record to 7-4. Jimmy Short was tagged with the loss. Earning his 7th save for Greensboro was Jody Watkins.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Williams hit a 2-run double off Jimmy Short. It propelled the Grasshoppers into the lead, 3-1.
Said losing manager Lonnie Chisenhall: "Obviously, we wished for a better outcome."
By defeating Hagerstown, the 6th-place Grasshoppers improved to 25-27.
