A 4-RBI performance from the 23-year old catcher Jeff Murdoch helped the Asheville Tourists beat the Savannah Sand Gnats, 10-3. Asheville now sits at 23-28, while Savannah falls to 31-20.

Left Fielder Dave Norman made an impact for Asheville, when he swatted a run-scoring triple off Daniel Merced in the bottom of the first. For the contest, Norman was 2-4 with a triple and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Murdoch.
