The Asheville Tourists knocked off the Augusta GreenJackets, 4-3, in South Atlantic League action at McCormick Field. Asheville pitcher and Cedar Lake, Indiana, native Brad Lewis had an outstanding performance. Lewis got the win, improving to 3-5. He gave up 4 hits and walked 3 over 5 innings. He allowed 1 run. The GreenJackets, at 18-29, have lost 8 in a row.

Reginald Estes dealt the GreenJackets a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Asheville leading 2-1, Estes, who is tied for 7th in the SAL in bases on balls with 19, hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single.
