Legends Drop 8-5 Decision to Sand Gnats
The Savannah Sand Gnats picked up a win at Grayson Stadium, knocking off the Lexington Legends, 8-5. Starting pitcher Daniel Merced was a big reason why. The win elevated the Sand Gnats to 27-19.

Second Baseman Ed Thomas made an impact for Savannah, when he swatted a run-scoring triple off Dave Irving in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, Thomas was 2-4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Sand Gnats manager Tyler Colvin.
