Kannapolis and Hagerstown played a hard-fought contest.
Luis Díaz never let Hagerstown get something going. The Kannapolis right-hander commanded his circle change in pitching the Intimidators to a 3-1 win. Kannapolis now has a record of 21-19 with the win.
Mike Griffith had a direct impact on the outcome. Griffith contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Kannapolis up, 3-0.
"Luis was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said Kannapolis manager Carlos Mota.
