The Lakewood BlueClaws and Kannapolis Intimidators played an exciting game.

The Lakewood BlueClaws picked up a win at First Energy Park, downing the Kannapolis Intimidators, 4-2. On the mound for Lakewood was left-hander Kevin Rodgers, who played a pivotal role in the win. The victory gives Lakewood a record of 24-16.

The BlueClaws got a big at-bat from catcher Jorge Acevedo. For the game, Acevedo was 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 9th double of the season gave Lakewood a 2-0 lead.

"I was able to really locate my pitches tonight," said Rodgers.
