Sand Gnats Slap 7-3 Loss on Greenville
The Savannah Sand Gnats picked up a win at Grayson Stadium, knocking off the Greenville Drive, 7-3. Starting pitcher Monte Craig was a big reason why. The winning pitcher was Craig, now 2-2. He tossed 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 7. The victory gives Savannah a record of 21-17.

The Sand Gnats got a big at-bat from first baseman Brad Oglethorpe. For the game, Oglethorpe was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Savannah a 3-1 lead.

"Monte really held it together well," said Savannah manager Tyler Colvin.
