Hernández Silences Lakewood Bats
The Augusta GreenJackets earned a win at First Energy Park, knocking off the Lakewood BlueClaws, 2-0. On the bump for Augusta was right-hander Juan Carlos Hernández. He had a starring role in the triumph. Picking up his 2nd save was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Jerry White. The GreenJackets go to 13-20 with the win.

Hernández, who dominated for Augusta, earned the victory to move to 3-1. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 6. Lakewood batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"Juan Carlos giving us the start that he did was huge," said Augusta manager Troy Tulowitzki.
