Shorebirds Win Again, 6-3, Extend Streak to 6
|
Delmarva Shorebirds starter Jesús Aragón found his groove in his team's 6-3 win over the Kannapolis Intimidators. Aragón, now 1-0, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 0, and allowing no runs. Delmarva has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
Stu Gill had a big 2-run double for the Shorebirds in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Delmarva leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a cutter from Steve Boucher and swatted a double to left. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Shorebirds ahead, 3-0.
"Right now, things are falling our way," said Delmarva manager Tripp Keister.
