Tourists Lose to RiverDogs in Walk-Off
The Asheville Tourists got a sterling performance from pitcher Brad Lewis, but the Charleston RiverDogs still prevailed, 2-1. Lewis threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The Tourists fall to 9-13 and continue their sputtering start to the 2026 season.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jorge Cantú in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Pete Joseph to win the game for Charleston. The home crowd went nuts.

Cantú attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
