Late Rally by Hammers Locks Up 4-3 Win
The Rome Hammers faced a tough opponent in West Virginia pitcher Loren Camacho, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Appalachian Power Park by a final score of 4-3. Camacho went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 run. The loss drops West Virginia to 10-8.

Dan Hill provided a timely hit. The Rome third baseman delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Hammers on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

In postgame remarks, Hill applauded his team's "resolve."
