Lakewood Tacks 2-1 Loss on West Virginia
|
First Energy Park featured a tense pitchers' duel.
Lakewood BlueClaws starter Dan Davis was in midseason form, as he helped his team beat the West Virginia Power, 2-1. Davis yielded 1 run over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 4. His record improves to 3-1.
Lakewood catcher Jorge Acevedo helped the BlueClaws go up, 2-1, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Acevedo hit a run-scoring single off West Virginia pitcher Isaac Roberson.
Davis called it "a solid win."
The setback makes the Power 6-11.
