Legends Popped by Tourists, 6-2
|
Asheville pinch hitter Bobby Grier was a significant contributor in his team's 6-2 triumph over the Lexington Legends. He went 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Tourists. The save went to Joe Mitchell, his 4th this season. With the loss, Lexington is 8-5.
Grier had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a first pitch fastball from António Díaz, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Tourists a 5-2 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Grier.
"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Grier.
