Lakewood 6-1 Losers to Intimidators

Raúl Hernández was terrific for the Kannapolis Intimidators in his team's 6-1 triumph over the Lakewood BlueClaws. His performance earned Hernández rave reviews. In 6.2 innings, Hernández surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. The loss lowers the Lakewood record to 5-7.
In the bottom of the fourth inning of a 1-1 tie, Kannapolis center fielder Sergio Bruno reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run. It broke the deadlock and put Kannapolis on top, 2-1.
"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Kannapolis manager Osamu Hamanaka.
