BlueClaws Suffer 5-4 Road Loss

The West Virginia Power picked up a win at Appalachian Power Park, dropping the Lakewood BlueClaws, 5-4. Joe Miller was the difference-maker. Miller picked up the win for West Virginia, going 7 innings. He gave up 4 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. Steve Russell earned the save for West Virginia, his 2nd.
The Power got a big at-bat from second baseman Jody English. For the game, English was 2-4 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 2nd double of the season gave West Virginia a 5-4 lead.
"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said English.
The loss drops Lakewood to 3-5.
