In a low-scoring affair between the Greensboro Grasshoppers and the Kannapolis Intimidators, pitcher Dave Proulx was the difference between victory and defeat. The Greensboro left-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-0 Grasshoppers win. Tony López, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save. Greensboro, with the win, is 7-1.

Juan Camacho had a direct impact on the outcome. Camacho contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put Greensboro up, 2-0.

"I'm happy we won," said Proulx. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
