Drive Lose to Sand Gnats in Walk-Off
The Savannah Sand Gnats beat the Greenville Drive by a score of 10-7. Savannah shortstop Rob Simpson deserved the lion's share of the credit. Simpson was 1 for 2 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Sand Gnats. The loss drops Greenville to 1-6.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Savannah trailing 7-6, Simpson jumped on a fastball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Kevin MacMonies and hit a grand slam home run to right. With one swing, the Sand Gnats had a walk-off win.

"This house was rockin'," Simpson said.
