Shorebirds Rally Late to Clip Asheville
|
Alfredo González was superb against Asheville. The right-hander had a curveball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Shorebirds victory. The score was 5-4. The win gives Delmarva a record of 4-3.
Manny Zarate was the walk-off hero for Delmarva. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Shorebirds second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Even warm beer tastes good after a win," said González.
